Launched in 1998 and with the convertible in 1999 Audi struck gold with the TT. A car that was instantly beloved due to its Bauhaus inspired looks combined with its sporty credentials with a name derived from original NSU’s success at the Isle of Mann TT; it remains as popular as ever in car circles.

Early in the cars life it gained a reputation for high-speed accidents due to a lack of stability when exceeding 110MPH. As a result, a recall was issued and cars were subsequently fitted with a rear spoiler as well as improvements to the suspension.

First generation TT’s were fitted with 1.8L turbocharged inline 4 engines producing either 178BHP or 222BHP (Known as the 225) before a 3.2L VR6 with 247BHP was offered in early 2003. Both front wheel drive and four-wheel drive Quattro chassis were available with the Quattro being the Haldex 4-wheel drive system.

The car we have to offer is a superb example of the highly sought after 225 version. With just 30,000 miles on the clock, and just the 1 owner from new, this must be one of the most original examples out there.

Exterior wise the car is finished in the iconic Reflex Silver Metallic paint which is entirely original and very good condition, with only one or two stone chips as is to be expected. Optional 18” 9 spoke alloy wheels are fitted on 4 brand new tyres giving the car an empowering stance, The hood is immaculate and comes with a tailor-made hood cover to protect it.

The interior is incredibly clean with black leather seats showing very little signs of wear. The combination between luxury and sportiness is heavily emphasised with the interior the combination of high-quality materials and chrome finished trim giving the impression of both a sportscar and luxury. Optional Heated leather seats and Bose Sound System further emphasise this. The whole interior of the car is extremely well kept and has been looked after thoroughly throughout its life.

Mechanically the car is unmatched. The service book has 17 service stamps from either the main dealer or a highly regarded specialist as well as bills in the past 5 years alone totalling to over £4000. As you would expect from this level of love, the car is stunning. It is a joy to drive and feels responsive, the combination of the manual gearbox, the Quattro system and the more powerful engine is a recipe that blends together impeccably. All of the electrics including the folding soft-top roof work flawlessly.

The car comes complete with 12 Months MOT, full-service history, all its original books, first aid kit, unused spare wheel, factory toolkit and wheel locking nut.

This car represents an opportunity to acquire a genuine future classic in stunning original condition with extremely low miles whilst also being a very usable car. The TT is only growing in popularity and with this car it is not hard to see why.
