Daimler have represented the absolute finest in British sophistication since their inception. Always providing customers with nothing but the most refined driving experience possible. After all what else would you expect from the first car manufacturer to receive a Royal Warrant. When Daimler was sold to Jaguar in 1960 it was a natural fit. Daimler was to become the brand responsible for creating upmarket versions of existing Jaguar cars.

This was to be what Daimler came to be known for. Creating the most luxurious Jaguar cars ever seen. The resulting Jaguar XJ40 was no different. The Jaguar XJ40 was manufactured between 1986 and 1994 and was to be the top of the line model for the brand.

The Daimler variant was fitted with the same rectangular headlights as the Jaguar XJ40 Sovereign. Whereas the Jaguar had an array of options available, the Daimler came with a host of extras as standard. From a performance perspective this included an Automatic 4-Speed Transmission, Ride Levelling Rear Suspension, Cruise Control and a Limited Slip Differential. But it was inside where the luxuries were really special, consisting of Air Conditioning, a Sunroof, Rear Fold-Out Picnic Trays, Rear Blinds, Rear Reading Lamp, 8-Way Adjustable Electronic Heated Front Seats, Full Leather Upholstery and Passenger Footwell Rugs.

Our car was originally the Dealership demonstrator for St Hellier Garages LTD, the Jaguar and Daimler main agent in St Helier, Jersey. During this time the car was used for minimal journeys. Following this the car was taken on by a family on Jersey who used the car sparingly. The car stayed in their possession until the original owner sadly passed away. The history of the car has allowed it to be in stunning condition boasting truly unparalleled mileage.

With the car we have available being the Dealership demonstrator, naturally, it comes in an even higher specification with further options having been selected. These options being Metallic Paint, 16 Inch Forged Lattice Wheels, Magnolia Leather Trim and Contrast Seat Pipping. These details enhance the experience even further, after all when owning a car such as this why not go all out with luxury.

The condition of this car is even better than you would expect for a car with just 6,000 miles on the clock. Finished in Bordeaux Red Metallic presenting the car in all of its glory. The paintwork is exceptional with little if any signs of its age. It is the true definition of time warp.

The interior condition matches the exterior with the Optional Magnolia Leather Upholstery being in immaculate condition. The red contrast pipping matches the carpets to give a uniformed finish. Walnut wood trim adorns the interior both in the front and rear, showcasing the British sophistication with which this car was created. All of the internal lights are working, with extra privacy available from the rear blinds.

Originality is further evident in the form of the unused spare tyre, tool kit and the dealership car cover. The car comes with a full and comprehensive history file, including correspondence with the family outlining its authenticity.

All import duties have been paid and is ready to be registered into the name of the first UK mainland owner and will be supplied with a full 12 Month MOT.
